Avalon Park Home Report – Orlando FL — October 6, 2008

Avalon Park in East Orlando was developed back in the late 1990s, with home prices starting at $150k or around $80/sqft.    Currently there are homes for sale in Avalon Park priced around $195k, or $95/sqft.  It has been 5 years since the prices have been at this level in Avalon Park, and this is sure to continue for at least a few more years.   In 2005, this East Orlando planned community was one of the hottest real estate markets in Central Florida, with home prices escalating rapidly to over $200/sqft.   Many of the sellers who purchased in 2005 are now having trouble selling their homes due to the rise in pre-foreclosures and bank owned properties.  Here are a few examples of homes for sale in Avalon Park:

  • 3 bed/2 bath - 2580 sqft - Built in 2005 - $199,000 or $77/sqft 
  • 5 bed/3 bath - 3240 sqft - Built in 2005 - $229,900 or $71/sqft
  • 5 bed/2.5 bath - 3458 sqft - Built in 2006 - $234,900 or $68/sqft
